Sacristans The sacristans are Eucharistic Ministers who on weekends, Holy Days, and at daily mass are responsible for the set-up, removal, and cleaning of those articles used by the priest during the celebration of Mass and by the Eucharistic Ministers in the distribution of Communion. They are also responsible for the sign-up sheet used by the Eucharistic Ministers before Mass, making sure all positions are either filled or covered. Sacristans may also be asked to cover these duties for weddings and funerals.
