NEW LISBON The New Lisbon Ministry is an outreach effort to bring the message of Jesus to the lives of those special children of God through caring, compassion, and friendship. Many of these adult residents have been at New Lisbon since their childhood, and many have no family. New Lisbon ministers extend God’s love to this community by bringing the Eucharist to those who are able to receive, praying with others, and sharing with them the precious gift of time. Ministers may also visit those residents who are in local hospitals as well as offer their assistance at funeral services, when requested. Ministers visit New Lisbon every Tuesday and an occasional Wednesday. The ministry is open to all who have a desire to extend God’s loving embrace to these special brothers and sisters. All that is required is a little time and a caring and compassionate heart.
