The Parish of
Holy Eucharist has a proud tradition of making fine music. Believing that music
transforms, it is our mission to invite the Holy Spirit to work through us,
empowering others to find a voice to sing of their joy, hope, fears, pain, and
faith. The Music Ministry is comprised of a number of choirs and musical
elements. The choirs, cantors, and instrumentalists guide and enhance worship
through music at weekend mass, funerals, and other special liturgies throughout
the year. As generations of people continue to raise their voices in song each
week, the music itself serves as an offering of praise and thanksgiving to God.
Our parish
ministry serves to inspire and uplift these voices, providing a program as
diverse as its people. At Holy Eucharist, music for worship spans the entire
treasury of the Church's repertoire.
Musical
leadership at liturgies is provided by cantors and several different choirs,
consisting of both trained professionals and amateurs alike. These voices unite
with pipe organ, piano and other instruments in the vibrant acoustic of Holy
Eucharist, making music an exciting worship experience.
In addition
to providing music for liturgies and funeral services, the Music Ministry of
Holy Eucharist performs two concerts each year—one for Advent/Christmas, and one
during the Lenten season.
The Holy
Eucharist Music Ministry is continually seeking new members. If you play an
instrument or have a pleasant singing voice, please consider one of our many
music-making opportunities. If you’ve ever considered being part of our parish
music ministry, please call the music office at (609) 268-1119 and learn how you
can get involved. We’d love to hear from you!
