Marriage Encounter Marriage Encounter is a weekend designed to give married couples the opportunity to examine their lives together. . . A time to share their feelings, their hopes, disappointments, joys and frustrations . . . and to do so openly and honestly in a face-to-face, heart-to-heart encounter with the one person they have chosen to live with for the rest of their life. This is not a retreat, nor a marriage clinic, nor group sensitivity. It’s a unique approach aimed at revitalizing Christian Marriage. Marriage Encounter is designed for any couple who desires a richer fuller life together. Marriage Encounter is Catholic in orientation but is open to all faith traditions. Marriage Encounter is a weekend enrichment program designed to help build communication skills between husband and wife. A series of presentations given by married couples and a priest provides meaningful reflection for couples to refocus on their relationship with private time for discussion away from the distraction of every day life.
