Frequently Asked Questions

          What is Faith Fest?

Faith Fest is what Holy Eucharist has chosen to call the intergenerational gatherings

we will hold for life-long faith formation.

Who can participate in Faith Fest?

EVERYONE!  Faith Fest is for everyone!  Children, seniors, young adults, singles, married couples, teens, newcomers, families, visitors, college students.

What do we do at Faith Fest?

First, we share a meal together.  Next we pray together.  Then we have an opening which introduces the topic in a variety of ways (story, activity, music, etc.)  Next we have in-depth learning where the topic will be presented in ways each participant can understand.  There will be activities for families with children, for adolescents and teens, and for adults.   Some Faith Fests will be designed so that all of the participants will learn all together.  After the in-depth learning, we will all share what we have learned with each other.  Finally, we will close with prayer and music and participants will be given their “Home Kit”.

What is a “Home Kit”?

A “Home Kit” is a learning supplement to Faith Fest.  It is a bag or packet that contains materials and activities that will help all participants to continue to explore the topic presented at Faith Fest.  The Home Kit is included in the registration fee.

What does the registration fee include?

The registration fee includes the meal, attendance and all materials at Faith Fest and the Home Kit

Can toddlers attend?

Child care will be provided for children ages 1-3 years during the learning after the meal.

Will Faith Fests replace Faith Formation classes?

We will begin by blending our weekly Faith Formation classes with Faith Fests.  Participants will attend one 3 hour Faith Fest session which will be presented several times on the same topic.  Faith Fests will be scheduled approximately every other month from September through May.  The months Faith Fest is presented, participants will not have to attend weekly classes.  Special conditions will apply to sacrament preparation classes..

Can anyone help with Faith Fest?

YES, YES, and YES.  There are many ways to help with Faith Fest.  You can become a Faith Facilitator and train to present the topic in small group setting.  Help is also needed in food preparation/service, child care, publicity, home kit design and assembly, set up/clean up, registration, prayer service leaders, music.
