Altar Servers
Altar Servers are young men and women who assist the priest and deacon at Mass on weekends and holy days, as well as other special liturgies throughout the year. They also serve at funerals and weddings when requested. Altar servers function in an important role in the celebration of the Eucharist by helping to prepare the environment prior to mass and by assisting during the liturgy itself.
A commitment to this ministry requires attendance at a training session and one meeting per year. Altar servers are scheduled to assist at Mass approximately twice a month This ministry is open to individuals in the 6th grade and older
